A setting for Tablet Mode on high density phones (Nexus, Note, etc., etc.)

dear makers of nova, first of all thank you for your great work, i love your launcher! i've got a tiny request though, in a group project we are trying to unlock the awesomness that is tablet/hybrid mode for high density phones like the galaxy nexus. we think it just made no sense that google wasted so much space and we love our 3d youtube, 2-column settings, etc. but unfortunately all ICS launchers we tried are off. they shrink icons, they have no dock, the app drawer is cut in half. so we made little patches to nova, just to showcase how it could be:

it works, but if this would be an official feature it would mean so much to everyone who loves tablet mode. the changes are simple and i think there's even a bug that we fixed (in the app drawer). all we need is a simple setting to override the system DPI, which we had to change to kick off tablet mode. we're talking small displaymetrics overrides, no more than a handfull plus a few adjustments in the res600 layout. all steps we took in the patch were documented and it would probably take no more than half an hour to implement as an expert-setting in your paid nova. please consider, your launcher would be the only one which could do it and probably get you many new customers.

April 23, 2012: Nova Launcher 1.1 improves this but there’s still a few things.

The OP (Paul) mentioned these with regard to 1.1:
- iconsize
- landscape dock on right hand side
Lock Desktop

We need to have lock desktop like adw launcher. Do that widgets and icons will not move accidentally...

Drag and drop apps onto other app in App Drawer to create folders

In the app drawer, dragging one app on top of another app would create a folder with those apps inside. (As seen in Go Launcher

Change the icons throughout the entire launcher with icon packs

Use icon packs from the market like ones from adw to change all the icons throughout nova launcher at once

Move folder from App-Drawer to Homescreen (stay sync)

I would like to create a folder in app-drawer (now we can), and then I will "copy" the folder to Homescreen.
If I remove an app out of a folder, the app disappears from app-drawer folder too.
This is a feature from Go Launcher.

Make an option to switch unread count location to above icons.

I don't like the unread count at the bottom icons, can you make it possible to have an option to move it above icons?

overlapping widgets

With different grid options not all Widgets size correctly use of overlap on Widgets would allow for our screens to look the way we intended for those of us who customize a lot

allow widgets in folders

I like my hone screen empty but I like my Widgets
If we could click folders and the pop up would come but instead of only apps Widgets could be put too

Make in-drawer folders movable to desktop

Instead if moving 20 apps individually into desktop, an option to move a a whole folder would save lots of time and work.

Galaxy S3 Screen Rotation for Camera App

What I was hoping for is similar to the Galaxy S3 function where you could literally rotate your phone clockwise and the camera app would start.

It appears that the 1.1.3 prime nova launcher does something similar, you must touch the screen with one finger then make a counter clockwise swipe with a 2nd finger, then the camera app loads.

Would it be possible to get what I'm talking about added in to the next build?

That would be sweet!

I guess the issue there is what if you have auto rotate enabled... Well I for one only use 1 homescreen and have auto rotation turned off...

So I guess that would have to be the stipulation?

Editmode for application drawer

In the 3-dot menu choose to put drawer in editmode (same menu get functions for drawer until you choose "End editing"), so that you don't have to go into nova-settings to:
- Hide or unhide apps
- Transparancy
- Style (Hor/Vert)
- Widgets / App groups
- Sort by to each group
- Effect

TW like dots above the"Dock" for screen access

The only thing I miss from Samsung Touchwiz, is the ability to quickly go from any screen to another by just tapping the dots in the bottom. Pretty convenient specially if you wanna from one screen to another one that is 4 or more swipes away.

Option to change size of desktop icons and/or space between icons.

For example, the Smooth Calender 1x4-widget usually fits 4 rows of task but with Nova Launcher only 3.5 rows are visible. The height of the widget is 1.5 mm less in Nova than other launchers.

double tap

Double tap gesture action like Apex has. For example double tap desktop to open app drawer. Much handier than double swipe in my opinion.
